B2C Copywriting in Virgin Tone of Voice
Virgin Money is consumer banking with a simpler, more modern approach than traditional banks offer.
While I’ve written for Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Media and Virgin Water, Virgin Money was probably the biggest challenge.
I worked on their Investments and Pensions business (through WPP agency mFuse) and needed to make often-complex products and processes seem simple and straightforward, like the Virgin brand.
It was good training for my later Consumer Duty projects, where copy had to be easy to read and understand.
I spent 10 months writing service emails, letters, statements, instructional copy and blog posts in Virgin Money’s tone of voice. Although I can’t show you these, what I can share is one of the bigger documents I worked on: their pension terms.
